Area of origin: Piana Rotaliana, a corner of land that spreads from Rocchetta, the gorge of access to the Val di Non, up to the Adige river on what was the old bed of the Noce torrent, since 1854 diverted southwards.
From this a land similar to that of a hill, where, under a small layer of land, there are several meters, in various stratifications, of gravel, sand and shingle brought downriver from the stream of the Noce torrent when in the Piana Rotaliana it flowed without banks.
